Operations & continuous development

Responsibility does not end at go-live

We monitor, maintain and develop systems so they remain dependable in everyday work and can grow sensibly with new requirements.

After the release

What your application needs after go-live

To remain dependable in everyday work and safe to develop further, it needs clearly organized technical operations.

Hosting & operations

Reliable operation

Servers, containers and deployments are operated to suit the application. Reverse proxies, TLS, caching and Cloudflare are used where they improve security, availability or performance.

Typical starting points

When a running system needs clear technical ownership again

Collaboration does not always begin with a new build. Often a system is already in use while responsibilities, monitoring or the next technical steps remain unclear.

  1. 01Unclear ownership

When a system is running but nobody truly owns it technically

Access, dependencies and knowledge are scattered. During incidents it is unclear who can respond and what state the system is actually in.

    What we do
    1. Review technical condition and dependencies systematically
    2. Organize access, documentation and responsibilities
    3. Take over operations with transparent ownership
  2. 02Missing monitoring

When issues only become visible after work has already stopped

Services and interfaces run without reliable status monitoring. Anomalies only surface through complaints or outages.

    What we do
    1. Identify critical services, interfaces and resources
    2. Set up monitoring and understandable notifications
    3. Define response and escalation paths for incidents
  3. 03Maintenance backlog

When updates, backups and security are handled on the side

Dependencies age, backups are not verified and technical maintenance is postponed as long as the system still appears to work.

    What we do
    1. Document update and security needs transparently
    2. Verify backups and a realistic recovery path
    3. Turn maintenance into planned and controlled steps
  4. 04New requirements

When a stable system needs to grow sensibly

New users, processes or interfaces change what is needed. Extensions should not put ongoing operations at unnecessary risk.

    What we do
    1. Assess requirements and technical impact together
    2. Prioritize changes by value, risk and urgency
    3. Test and deliver extensions in a controlled way

The operations cycle

Operations provide the foundation for continuous development

Real system states, feedback and new requirements create sound next steps. After each release, observation begins again.

  1. 01

    Observe

Monitoring, logs and feedback reveal how the system actually performs in everyday use.

  2. 02

    Classify

Anomalies and requirements are assessed by impact, cause and urgency.

  3. 03

    Improve

Maintenance and development are implemented in clearly scoped, controllable steps.

  4. 04

    Verify and release

Changes are tested, documented and then observed again in live operations.

Each cycle creates new insight for the next one

Frequently asked questions

What remains important after launch

The right scope depends on the criticality, architecture and role of the system in the organization.

01Do you also take over systems you did not build?

In principle, yes. Before taking responsibility, we assess architecture, documentation, dependencies and current condition.

02Are operations only available as a long-term contract?

No. The appropriate framework depends on the system. Clearly scoped maintenance tasks are possible as well as continuous technical support.

03How are new requirements implemented?

We assess impact, risk and urgency, agree on priorities and implement changes in transparent, testable steps.

04Where are applications operated?

Depending on requirements, in existing environments, dedicated infrastructure or a purpose-built setup. We often work with Docker and Hetzner but are not tied to them.
